BOOK, UMBRELLA, COFFEE
The sweet chirping of birds and fresh dew on the grass made this morning so pleasant. This surely calls for a cup of coffee and a read from Murakami’s book. I couldn’t think of any other café other than Barista’s café.

I was so engrossed in the book that I didn’t notice a man was standing near my table.
Tap tap
I looked up.
“Excuse me, is this seat vacant”, he said pointing towards the other seat on my table.
“Oh…yes… I mean sure, go ahead if you wish to sit on the chair”, I said nervously after being shocked by such a manly and good-looking guy.
“Thanks, I didn’t want to disturb you. I was contemplating whether to ask you or not since you were so fully preoccupied with reading the book. It just that there was no other table vacant other than this”, he said with a kind smile after sitting on the chair.
“Oh… No, it’s okay, I can understand”, I replied seeing the whole café so filled out and how it went completely unnoticed by me, because of my reading.
“By the way, my name is Rohit, it’s nice to meet you”.
“My name is Amruta, nice to meet you as well.”
We introduced ourselves like any formal strangers.
“If you don’t mind, may I know what are you reading, I like to read to Murakami’s book as well” he smiled at me and his eyes started glowing with the topic he was about to discuss.
He surely loved reading, it seems, I thought in my mind.
“It's Kafka on the shore, and I am at a part where he is finding the lost cat”, I told him with equal interest in discussing the book.
“Oh…I remember that part, you soon are going to get surprised, I must say”, he laughed a bit while sipping his coffee.
We kept exchanging our thoughts about the book while sipping our coffee and while talking I noticed he has a blue umbrella tucked behind him on the chair.
This guy is a well-prepared person, I like it.

Soon after, our discussion came to end as we finished drinking our coffee. I was distracted by the sound of the rain and realized I have not brought my own umbrella.
Shit, I am a such an idiot.
As if he read my mind. Rohit opened his umbrella in front of me and said,” Will you mind if I drop you home”.
This is so sweet of him to offer his umbrella. It's so romantic. Oh my god.
I accepted his sweet gesture, and we kept talking and kept conversing about each other what we like and what we don’t. It surprised me how we both were similar yet opposite minded. I loved talking to him and hoped this moment to never end, the road to my home never ends.
As we reached my home, I was nervous, didn’t want to say bye, and I guess he felt the same as he didn’t leave immediately as we reached home.
“So… this is the end…it was nice talking to you, I enjoyed our time together,” he said nervously biting his lips and hands rubbing the neck.
“Yes, same here… Hope we could meet again soon,” I said nervously biting my lips as well. I might be blushing as well, as my cheeks were getting hot as hell.
Finally, he said which melted my heart, “I’ll give you this umbrella so that I can have an excuse to meet you again”.
“Sure, I’ll be waiting for you,” I said blushing, standing on my tiptoes. He smiled, looking down as well.
This is the best day of my life.
